SECTION A - basic tools/supplies for assembling/working on dolls, hair

1. Basic Tools

Here are the basic tools (members of MDL) use for making miniature dolls...
Alene’s original Tacky Glue, small sharp scissors, paper scissors, long nose tweezers, Q-tips, small mister bottle, toothpicks, pins, needles, thread, 12" ruler, cutting board, rotary cutter, draping (cork or Macrame board), knitting needles (for curls), hairspray for draping, hand wipes  For building an armature or doll body assembly, needle nose pliers, cotton balls (for doll padding), floral tape (for assembly), wire cutters (for assembly), pipe cleaners for assembly, flat iron (or small craft iron) for setting hair/pressing fabric, mirror for seeing your work in another direction, Zap a Gap super glue and nail polish remover.

2. Specialty Supplies

d.anne ruff pleaters, Rose making tool, insect pins (for silk draping), Bees wax for needle, turn table with cork on top for draping, small clamps or clips, magnifying glass, aluminum armature wire, doll stands. I also use various nail polishes for shoes and decorating accessories to look like enamel.
