The couple Percy and Mae Fallingtree, they are living in “The Woods”
Mae is the daughter of a very rich family, she is very good educated.
Percy is the son of a poor farmer out of the South and had all most no
education.
But they are a very happy couple.
When Mae was 19 years old her parents want here to marry a rich partner
of her father but she refused. She ran away and travelled hitchhiking
trough the country, she came when she was 21 in a saloon en there was a
very handsome bartender (Percy). They fell in love and they get
married, the parents of Mae did not like this situation at all. The
parents of Mae want Mae to leave Percy. They said that she has no
future with him but Mae told them that she is in love with him and will
stay with him.
The sister of Mae did not want to have any contact with Mae and Percy
but the brother of Mae, Carl is still having contact en is trying to
help them where he can.
A half year a go there was a big storm that game across the sight of
the Trailer park where the trailer of the Fallingtree couple was
standing. The storm destroyed several trailers including the trailer of
Percy and Mae. Percy was helping a neighbour of a near by Trailer to
save some things when a big tree fall down and he was under the tree.
Since that time Percy is no longer in the position to work because of
his injures. To bad but they had no insurance.
Now they must totally depending on the income of Mae and the help of
Mae’s brother Carl.
Mae is a singer in a saloon and had to work every evening.
The last time they had to live in a tent but since a month they have an
old wagon of a travelling show from a good friend. Some friends have
helped them to make the wagon suitable for living in and since a week
they have moved in. Most of their things were destroyed during the
storm and their friends have given them the most necessary things to
live. But their friends are poor so the things they gave them are old.
Percy and Mae have three children, a daughter of 22 years Mary-Jane who
is married with John and they lived in a Trailer park in Utah and two
sons. The sons Jim of 15 and Hans of 17 years old do not like to go to
school. They are given their parents many troubles because of that but
they do not listen. They spent more time out than in the school.
