May Contests and Events
Week #1 .... Good Times Trailer Park hosts its annual pie bake off, and family picnic. For friends and families arriving ... we are setting up an RV park and tents in the WindField Park. On the first SUNDAY in May ... we will showcase our residents and a award a few bake off prizes randomly --- just for *strutting* your doll.
Week #2 .... Glitzy gets married. The 2nd Sunday of May is when we will hold this fun event, along with several *get together tutorials* in the chatroom by special guest artists.
Week #3 .... Good Times annual BEAUTY PAGEANT! Main event held the 3rd Sunday in May. To enter one of the 5 categories below, simply create your doll ... and send photo to Marilyn Parke (our photo album moderator). Our judges will then post the results and award prizes to lst in each category.
Categories:
a) Most *faux* hairspray used (i.e. how HIGH can we go)
b) Swimsuit competition
c) Evening Gown competition
d) Best Housecoat and accessories
e) Most unique entrant

STORY LINE ......
Are you new and not quite sure what this is all about? Here is a brief overview of the contest ... and then the *fictional* storyline to work by.
OVERVIEW ..... One of the most difficult aspects of making miniature dolls, is having people *GET* what you do! How many times have we heard the ... ooooohhhhh isn't that CUTE? Or You do WHAT? You PLAY with dolls?
Well guess what? WE on the minidoll LIST enjoy, and inspire those that *do* this creative hobby. AND like to provide a fun, fictional *theme* each month to get you in the doll spirit!
May is Character THEME ... and we welcome all kinds of cooks, biker chicks (lesa <G>), swimsuit grannies, wannabe snobby ladies ... big belly men ... etc. This is an excellent opportunity for those new to creating ... to have FUN ... making a doll that doesn't necessarily have to be perfect. In fact .. the more accessories, colors and hair the better! AND a sense of humor is definitely required!
So make a fun character doll ... think of a story line ... pick out a trailer plot and grab that webpage space to showcase your work. Then enter one of the events and maybe even win a great prize! Lots of items donated for May and fun viewing for all!
Storyline......
Fast Buck Freddy grew up in Trailer #26 on the wrong side of the tracks. Freddy was determined to overcome his circumstances however, and soon became a regular in the local Bingo Parlour (basement and secret knock accessed the poker backroom). At any rate, through a bit of ingenious gambling he won the entire trail park and grew both in size and ego.
Several marriages later ... Freddy was finally blessed with a daughter named Glitzy....who grew into quite the little spitfire. Now at 22, Glitzy's secret romance with a man from Elroy Woods has blossomed into a wedding and Freddy is none to happy.
The rest of you can weave your stories in, around and through the above. See how you can interact with your doll and their storyline.
**REMEMBER** the doll photo, storyline, trailer and/or scene will be given one web page (3 photos total). Web page work will be done starting April 15th.... to finish on time for the May lst events.
