Lot #1
by Linda Peabody

I am moving into lot #1. I am a retired ordained minister with no money. I have been forced to live in the trailer park because it is less expensive than a house and I am not ready for the nursing home yet. My trailer is on order but you will find me sitting on my lounge chair on my site or walking around for mild exercise. I know I will frequent the quilt shop. To make extra money I am going to set up an outdoor chapel to do weddings, and funerals. I am also thinking of bringing my horse along. He will provide local transportation for me and I may even sell the manure to anyone in the park or nearby for their gardens. I will be wearing jeans and a flannel shirt but will have a robe to wear over that outfit when doing weddings. I should be moving in real soon. Oh, my name is Madeline Parson. And I have a few cats that will be coming with me. My new neighbor across the way from me, site 2A is
trying to get the park to tell me I cannot have my horse. We'll see.

Madeline in lot #1 finally has her trailer built and furniture and curtains etc. The trustees from her last church volunteered to build a deck for her. Even though their mean age is 90 they did a pretty good job. She wanted to buy one from HBS but thought $89 was too much. She has her horse and has put up a tent. Her grandson, once he gets (hair and clothing) will be living with her for the summer. He is 8 and very impressionable so she will need to find things for him to do to keep him away from the red light section of the park. My next project will be to make a quilt for my bed. I am going to have a heart shapped arbor build so I can do weddings and funerals. Oh, and anyone in the park may come for a cup of coffee and conversation -- even those red light girls. lol
